Art on the Avenue!

It's been a summer full of transitions and growth. October is around the corner, which means Art on the Avenue is upon us! I have just less than a month left to prepare for my my biggest and last OUTDOOR show this year This will be my second year participating and I'm very excited be able to share my work and meet lots of people. Here, you can see all of my newest pieces, get fitted for ear crickets, and enjoy the festivities and (hopefully) beautiful weather. See you there!

It has always been important to me to have personal connections with my customers. While I've been at the Torpedo Factory, observing and interacting with those who come into my studio help me so much with popular trends, resources, and design ideas. Thank you to all of those who have graced me with your presence during my stay here!

It's been made clear to me more than ever that there are so many other directions for my jewelry business to grow in! It's tricky to find the balance between maintaining current inventory, selling it, marketing it, and evolving the actual product. Having a studio motivates me more to be organized enough to do all of these things. Whether it is price breakdown on products, new branding ideas, or expanding my clientele, I'm very excited to see what else I can learn and what more I'm capable of!

Torpedo Factory, here we come!

Applied in March, accepted in April, intense production in May, taking over in June - let's do this! We are proud to announce that WiRealm by Tamara will be (temporarily) moving into her first studio space at the Torpedo Factory in just a couple of weeks! The Torpedo Factory is a huge art center on the waterfront of the Potomac in Old Town Alexandria where hundreds of artists reside to produce and share their work with the community.

WiRealm by Tamara will be sharing studio space #331 on the third floor from June 1st to July 31st, 2013. The facility is open daily 10am - 6pm, Thursdays 10am - 9pm. Tamara plans to be in at the following times:

Monday: 10 - 3pm
Tuesday: By appointment only
Wednesday: 10 - 3pm
Thursday: 10am - 9pm
Friday: 10 - 3pm
Saturday: 10am - 6pm
Sunday: By appointment only

​She will also be hosting open houses every other Thursday so look out for the dates!

Grand Opening of Alexandria Art Market

What better way to make the best of the warm weather than music & art! Coming up on the 4th anniversary, this will be the best year yet. The Alexandria Art Market was started by Kimberley Bush in 2009 to feature local visual artists in a fun outdoor environment. This year Kimberley has done a tremendous amount of work to advertise and involve the community, and we're excited to be a part of it!

The Grand Opening this year is TOMORROW May 4, 2013, 10am - 4pm at the Del Ray Artisans Gallery in Alexandria. This event will occur every first Saturday until September. Local musicians will make you want to sing and dance between 12 noon and 2pm.

​WiRealm by Tamara will be set up May 4, August 3, September 7, so come out and enjoy the beautiful weather and enjoy some art work!
